Chapter 12
As Good As Anything

At the sight of Aaron not being there, we all assumed I had killed him.
"That.....wasn't meant to happen" I said. At that moment, Becka ran off into the woods crying. "Hey, come back Becka!" I yelled, starting after her. The others followed close behind. "Where did she go now?" I asked, stopping to look around.
"I think I saw her go that way" Sarah replied, pointing to the left of us.
"Then let's go that way" I stated, starting to run again. We kept chasing what we thought was where she went for about 10 minutes, then stopped to rest in a pathway.
"'Ello" A mysterious voice came from the darkness.
"Who's there?" I asked, standing up quickly.
"It's only me" The character said before stepping out into the path.
"Am I seeing double from being tired?" Sarah asked, looking up from her gaze at the ground when catching her breath to look at us. The character looked exactly like me.
"Does Ryan have a clone?" Yan asked.
"Very funny Yan" I turned back to the character and asked again, slightly agitated now, "who the hell are you?"
"I'm you, isn't it obvious?" They responded.
"No, seriously, who...the fuck...are you" I asked once more, getting in their face, eyes narrow with anger.
"Remind me not to piss him off" Samus whispered to Sarah. Suddenly the character began to shift, every part of their body morphing.
"I'm Mari, and I enjoy fooling people, just as I did now" She said as she became a Ditto.
"I highly dislike people disquising themselves as me, so don't do it again, or else" I  warned, glaring at her.
"Whatever" Mari said, going towards the rest of the group.
"Judging by the accent, you're British?" Samus asked.
"Right you are, and you are Samus Aran" Mari Replied.
"Ok, this is starting to get a little annoying" Samus stated. Sarah chuckled and I began walking away.
"Where are you going?" Sarah asked.
"I don't know, all I know is I'm going away from here" I replied angrily.
"Not you too..." Sarah said, starting to follow me. The others, including Mari, followed close behind her.
"You can stop following me, I just need some time alone" I said without looking back, and added "To calm down." Everyone but Samus stopped walking.
"Samus, did you not hear him? He wants to be left alone" Sarah repeated.
"She can follow, I'm good with that.." I said, still walking.
"And I can't because...?" Sarah asked.
"I don't know you as well as I know Samus, sure you haven't done anything to piss me off yet, but I'd rather be with somebody I know more about than someone I hardly know at all" I replied.
"Ok, let's continue searching for Becka then" Sarah said, turning around and beginning to walk.
"Hold up sarah" Samus said, then walked over to her.
"What is it?" Sarah asked, turning back around. Samus handed something to Sarah and said something to her. "Ok, see you two in a bit then" Sarah said, putting the device Samus gave her onto her head. I just continued to walk and Samus turned and ran to catch up to me then slowed back down to a walk.
"I still want to know how you keep catching fire out of nowhere" Samus stated, looking down at me.
"You think I have any better of an idea?" I asked, looking back up at her.
"No, I guess not" Samus replied, looking ahead of her again. From then on we stayed silent, walking around aimlessly when suddlenly I heard somebody whimpering to our left.
"Well look who we found, it's Becka" I said, looking towards the sound and seeing her sitting on a stump. She looked over then back at the ground, not saying anything. I walked over and put my hand on her shoulder.
"Look, Becka, I'm sincerely sorry for what I did. I couldn't control myself" I said softly, full of guilt.
"I don't blame you...Though it is very hard, I'll get over it eventually" Becka said quietly, not averting her eyes from the ground.
"That's good, do you want to stay here a while or should we go find the others?" I asked, backing up a bit to give her some space.
"I'm fine...Let's go get the others" Becka replied, slowly getting up. We walked back over to samus, who looked at us.
"I heard what you said, and I already got it taken care of. The others will be waiting for us at the ship" Samus told us.
"That's great, but I'm still a bit pissed off, so don't talk to me on the way back" I said, then began walking back in the direction of the ship. About halfway there, a Charmander lunged out from the trees, holding a bow and a quiver of arrows on his back, aiming back where he came from. "Is there a problem here?" I asked. He shot a burst of three arrows at once then looked at me.
"No, I'm just training" He replied.
"Ok then, if you would kindly move aside, we wont have any problems" I said, motioning for him to get out of the way. He stepped aside and we passed by. We got back to the ship in about 15 minutes and the others were inside. I saw a faint orange glow in the treeline on the opposite side of the ship that I was on, but I chose to ignore it and went inside. When we got in, Mari was disquised as me again.
"Mari, what the hell did I tell you!?" I yelled. She changed her form from me into Samus, not saying anything.
"She's entertaining us, chill out" Sarah said, laughing.
"How is this entertaining?" I asked.
"I'm impersonating everyone" Mari replied. I just took a deep breath and turned to leave the ship again.
"Where are you going now?" Samus asked.
"Town, I need some rest, away from them." I replied quietly so the others couldnt hear. As soon as I stepped outside again, there was a small explosion where the glow had been. Again, I ignored it, but Samus went to go check on everything. I got to town and went to the nearest hotel, with Samus and the others following not far behind. We checked into the hotel and each went to our own rooms, everybody in a seperate one.
